Made in Utica Passport 2018

The Made in Utica Passport was an annual coupon and discount book sold and distributed the books throughout the Mohawk Valley, New York region offering deals to businesses throughout the area and featuring a different theme each year.

Proceeds from the book benefited the non-profit community organization Made in Utica, whose goal is to highlight and connect businesses, artisans, organizations and people from Utica and the surrounding areas through promotions, digital media, social networking and events.

The 2018 Made in Utica Passport theme was comic books and featured an original short story by Dave Dellecese (story and pencils) and Andrew Cieslinski (inks and finished art) that followed a trench-coated protagonist as they trailed a woman throughout the city of Utica and its various businesses in a noir-style sequence.

Each stop on the protagonist’s journey highlighted a different business and deal for the passport holder.
